About Manual Handling Course

Workers must be protected from the dangers of hazardous manual handling in the workplace. Transporting or supporting a load by hand or bodily force is referred to as manual handling. It involves lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, carrying, or moving loads. A load can be a person, an object, or an animal.

Manual handling injuries are thought to be responsible for 21% of all non-fatal workplace injuries, as well as one-third of all musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Our Manual Handling Course is designed to help you reduce the incidence of MSDs, minimise the risk of injury to your employees, and increase productivity by avoiding absences.

Throughout this Manual Handling Course, you will be introduced to Manual Handling terminology, followed by injuries associated with common Manual Handling tasks initiated in the hospitality industry. This course also provides an acceptable overview of the relevant Manual Handling Regulations and Legislation.

You will learn the aspects of Risk Assessments that intend to identify and tackle risks in the workplace. You will also gain a better understanding of how to identify, address, and reduce workplace risks associated with manual handling as soon as they arise. In addition, you will learn the proper techniques for lifting, moving, and handling large or heavy objects in the workplace. You will also learn useful practices for tackling difficult tasks while lowering the risk associated with them.

Enrol in our Course, add value to your current educational profile, and achieve skill sets to compete in your job role.
