About The Early Years Course
A child’s development is most important during his or her early years. Understanding children’s mental health requires understanding the importance of attachment and adversity during this period. Children can be exposed to traumatic experiences that impact their mental health throughout their early years, and these experiences can contribute to mental health problems later in life. This Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Mental Health in the Early Years course is designed to provide you a thorough understanding of mental health in young children in the early years (birth to 5 years old) and the role of the Early Years Practitioner to support children’s mental-health and wellbeing.
